KORTEXT AND DAWSON BOOKS ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO BOOST STUDENTS’ STUDY EXPERIENCE AND IMPROVE HOW LIBRARIES DISCOVER AND ACQUIRE DIGITAL TEXTBOOKS
Kortext, the UK’s leading digital textbook platform, and Dawson Books, the UK’s leading supplier of print and ebooks to libraries and part of Connect Books, have announced a key partnership which will help libraries and students transform the way they discover, acquire, access and work with e-content, through an integration between the two platforms.
For students using dawsonera this new partnership gives them the ability to download content from their library collections directly into the Kortext reading app for free, allowing them to use the library materials alongside their textbooks. This reader integration means students can end up with one Universal bookshelf for all of their textbook and library content where they can take notes, study and collaborate with their colleagues. They will also be able to access some unique accessibility features from within the Kortext apps to make studying more inclusive for all students. Dawsonera users will also be able to access their Microsoft Office 365 account directly from within Kortext using the integrations that Kortext has built into the Office 365 suite with Microsoft.
For libraries, Kortext and Dawson Books are collaborating on the development of new library work-flow solutions that will make it easier for dawsonenter users to discover and order Kortext digital textbook content; completely simplifying the process for discovering and acquiring these important learning resources.
Jane Johnson, Executive Director of Library services at Dawson Books stated “This is a really exciting partnership demonstrating how Dawson Books are innovating in the library supply market.
